STEM
The NCA STEM program is part of our vision to give students the option to explore hands-on learning in robotics and coding.
As this program grows, we will be adding more STEM fields of study and coursework. We currently use a blend of Project Lead The Way robotics curriculum and other teacher-led assignments in the area of coding.
This program meets off campus on most Friday mornings during the school year from 8 - 11:30am at the Steven Street Baptist Church Student Center.
The annual cost is $500 per student. There are no multiple-child discounts
VEX Robotics Club
Alongside our vision for students to engage in STEM education, NCA offers an after-school VEX robotics club. These students build a competitive robot that competes in an international robotic tournament with new mission challenges every year.
This is where creativity and application of knowledge come together in a head-to-head platform where students are tested at every match. The takeaways from each competition is phenomenal, and the events are rich with real-world experiences like teamwork, design modeling, communication and networking with rivals and fellow competitors in a collaborative and positive environment.
